1995, Athens. The photo captures yet another chapter of the long and multifaceted history of the “FIX building”, as the former brewery that now houses EMST, is known. It is the demolition of the northern part, despite the reactions of the Greek and international architectural community who supported the preservation of the entire emblematic building in the form it took after the regeneration of architects Takis Zenetos and Margaritis Apostolidis in the 1950s.

The EMST art archive realizes the research program “Oral Histories: The FIX building” aiming to research and record the history of the building, in collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.
