The sound of Jazz within a museum of Contemporary Art vibrates the space and excites the senses. The Jazz Department of the Athens Conservatory was founded in 2013. Having already introduced important young artists to the Greek scene, it has been attracting a steadily growing interest, engaging more and more young students and jazz lovers every year. The Department was established on the basis of two particular characteristics: on the one hand, the curriculum, which focuses exclusively on the teaching subject of jazz music, and on the other hand, the structure of the Department’s operation, which has an academic character.
