As part of its ongoing collaboration with regional organisations aligned with its mission, ΕΜΣΤ is participating in Vovousa Festival for the second consecutive year.
As part of this year’s programme, ΕΜΣΤ presents REO (Greek for ‘flow’), an educational activity designed by Chara Marantidou in collaboration with Eleni Koukou, taking place on Friday, 7 August, at 12:00.
Centred on water as a fundamental element of life and our relationship with the natural world, the activity invites participants of all ages to co-create an ephemeral, collective artwork in Vovousa. Through this shared creative process, it seeks to deepen our emotional bond with nature, highlighting the vital necessity of coexisting with its interconnected life forms and recognising our own organic place within this web of life..
Throughout the Festival, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore EMΣTPLAY, the museum’s mobile educational kit. One of ΕΜΣΤ’s innovative outreach initiatives, EMΣTPLAY expands access to contemporary art by engaging diverse audiences beyond the Museum’s walls. Through exploration, play, and hands-on creative activities, the kit encourages participants of all ages to discover the language of contemporary art in an interactive and experiential way.
