On the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse, the EMΣΤ Education Department collaborated with the Center for Social Reintegration and the Education Department of KETHEA ARIADNI, in Heraklion, Crete, to organize a stop motion animation art workshop based on EMΣΤ temporary exhibition Modern Love (or Love in the Age of Cold Intimacies).
Therapists and patients of KETHEA ARIADNI processed, in an experiential manner, topics such as parental love, the mother-adolescent relationship, the love between humans and their four-legged friends, the love for books and knowledge, as well as communication through electronic media. They then created a narrative that includes all of the above, which they transferred into a short video using the method of stop motion animation.
The workshop was held on Tuesday 6/27/2023, within the framework of the EMΣΤ Without Borders program, curated by artist Dimitris Kannas and education curator Marina Tsekou.
