10 museums, 5 cities, 1 shared vision:
Contemporary art becomes more inclusive and accessible to persons with disabilities.
As part of the Meeting Points project by Off Stream, EMΣT | National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens, together with nine other museums across Greece, becomes a “meeting point” of inclusion and co-creation.
On Sunday, 18 May 2025, International Museum Day, from 11:30 to 13:00, EMΣT and Off Stream invite the audience to meet around a selected artwork from the museum’s collection, in order to explore it through a multi-sensory approach, discover the story of its creator and collaboratively craft its creative description.
The outcome of this participatory event will form the basis for a universally accessible postcard, which will be available at the museum shop and other selected spots.
The 75-minute participatory event is addressed equally to adults with and without sensory or mobility impairment, providing simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign Language and tactile aids for approaching the artwork.
Register for participation here (form in Greek language).
Please note that spots are limited. Early registration is recommended.
Meeting Points is a project by Off Stream, implemented in collaboration with 10 museums across Greece, with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and the kind sponsorship of Alumil.
