EMΣΤ and Athens Conservatoire continue their collaboration in 2026 with the next cycle of the inter-disciplinary programme entitled SUBVERSIONS. In partnership with the students of the Music Schools of the Conservatory and their Director Filippos Tsalachouris, SUBVERSIONS is a platform for experimentation that includes all three performing arts – music, theatre and dance. The performances take place one Sunday every month, in March and April, in the Foyer of the Μuseum.

Fantasia E
Adrian Leverkühn (*1947)
An aleatoric improvisation based on the note E comes to life in Leverkühn’s Fantasia E. More than twenty musical instruments—violins, cellos, double basses, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, and more—join forces to create a rich, multi-layered sonic landscape. Fantasia E is presented for the first time by students of the Athens Conservatoire, who channel their youthful energy and enthusiasm into a peformance aimed to highlight the vitality, expressive power, and distinctive character of the score.
