Ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn’t have fallen in love with? Ever been left heartbroken, not knowing what to do next, and played a record over and over again? Your lovelorn record and lovesick stories can become part of the Longing Disco: a unique event staged by artist Nick Fox at the MODERN LOVE Festival taking place at ΕΜΣΤ.
The Longing Disco is a live art event shaped by the people taking part. Each song at the Longing Disco has a unique story to tell. Participants anonymously request the song most connected to personal stories that chronicle blissful courtship, tragic romances, unrequited loves, displacement, loss, hopes and dreams. You are invited to anonymously share with us the songs that evoke your most powerful memories of love and the stories connected to them.
We’ll be playing these songs at the MODERN LOVE Bar every day during the festival and on Friday 29 September they’ll take centre stage at the Longing Disco, a celebratory evening of music, dance and desire inspired by the emotional spectrum of love and longing.
