In collaboration with the New York University Global Research Institute and the Athens Photo Research Center (APhRC), ΕΜΣΤ presents a talk by major Chilean artist Alfredo Jaar, titled “It Is Difficult”, on Thursday, October 22, at 19:00. The artist will discuss his most recent projects from around the world.
On the occasion of his visit to Greece, Alfredo Jaar—one of the most significant and influential figures on the global contemporary art scene—will give a special talk at ΕΜΣΤ. He will present recent works and projects realised in different parts of the world, offering an overview of his multifaceted artistic practice and international career.
Born in Santiago in 1956 and trained in architecture and filmmaking, Jaar is an artist, architect, photographer, and filmmaker known for his political approach to conceptual art and his engagement with issues of human rights, genocide, poverty, and social injustice. His practice spans more than four decades.
