The creative workshop The beginnings of video art was designed and realized in collaboration with the Friendship Club of Neos Kosmos. It lasted seven weeks and was consisted of two parts.
During the first part, a selection of video artworks of the 70s and 80s from EMST collection by artists such as Lorens Wienner, Dennis Openheim, Nam Jun Paik, Martha Rosler, Dara Birnbaum and Bill Viola, was presented. Following the presentation of each work, participants shared their thoughts and ideas.
In the second part, participants using tablets or their mobile phones, shot a video of the site which they consider their “place”, whether that was their home, village or any other place they felt their own. These videos were used for the creation of a group video titled Entopy.
