On this January night, we gather to greet the new year, unwind, and let ourselves drift with the winter flow, the post-holiday blues, and the moody introspection that comes with them.<\/p>\n<p>The evening presents three distinctive experimental artists of the younger generation all of whom have developed unique idioms, but share a common language of extraordinary, otherworldly, atmospheric, intriguing sonic universes.<\/p>\n<p>Nika Son (Hamburg, DE) is a musician, artist, film composer and DJ. She creates music that sits at the intersections of sound art, electro\u2011acoustic composition, and experimental electronic music. Her compositions are built from deformed and fragmented concrete sounds, interweaving with analogue synth lines, broken rhythms, rare voice scraps and filtered tape layers, making her work immersive, abstract, and deeply textural.<\/p>\n<p>Johnny Labelle (Athens, GR) is a musician and vocalist who blends dark romanticism, post-punk, and the cinematic noir of &#8217;50s love ballads. Described as a &#8220;deranged Frank Sinatra,&#8221; his work is intimate and introspective, built around a trademark lyrical baritone that intertwines with ambient pop textures and shadowy, dream-like arrangements, evoking the eerie, nocturnal atmosphere of a Lynchian world.<\/p>\n<p>Lucian Moriyama (Honolulu, Hawaii, US) is an artist and musician. His works explore the dream world of exotica and elsewheres, spanning from songs of longing to steel guitar, and \u2018country gone wrong\u2019.\u00a0 He blends haunting, otherworldly atmospheres with wistful steel guitar, instruments he makes himself, and brooding vocals.
