{"id":91909,"date":"2025-05-07T12:23:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-07T12:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emst.gr\/?p=91909"},"modified":"2025-05-28T12:48:00","modified_gmt":"2025-05-28T12:48:00","slug":"meeting-points-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emst.gr\/en\/education\/educational-programmes-en\/meeting-points-2025","title":{"rendered":"Meeting Points 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">10 museums, 5 cities, 1 shared vision:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Contemporary art becomes more inclusive and accessible to persons with disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">As part of the<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Meeting Points<\/b><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>project by<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/offstream.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Off Stream<\/span><\/a><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">,<\/span><\/b><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">EM<\/span>\u03a3<span lang=\"EN-US\">T | National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens, together with nine other museums across Greece, becomes a &#8220;meeting point&#8221; of inclusion and co-creation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">On<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Sunday, 18 May 2025<\/b>, International Museum Day, from<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>11:30 to 13:00<\/b>, EM<\/span>\u03a3<span lang=\"EN-US\">T and Off Stream invite the audience to meet around a selected artwork from the museum\u2019s collection, in order\u00a0 to explore it through a multi-sensory approach, discover the story of its creator and collaboratively craft its creative description.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The outcome of this participatory event will form the basis for<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>a universally accessible postcard,<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>which will be available at the museum shop and other selected spots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>75-minute<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>participatory event is addressed equally to<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>adults with and without sensory or mobility impairment, providing simultaneous<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>interpretation in Greek Sign Language<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>tactile aids<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>for approaching the artwork.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Register for participation<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/27KQZUiGGEwaTZbG9\">here<\/a> <\/strong>(form in Greek language)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Please note that spots are limited.
