10 Museums, 4 cities in Greece, 1 shared vision: Art and museum collections to become more inclusive for people with disabilities!<\/p>\n
\u0395\u039c\u03a3\u03a4\u00a0along with 9 other museums in Greece (MOMus-Museum of Contemporary Art, MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona, Museum of Cycladic Art, MOMus-Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art \u2018Constantin Xenakis\u2019, Teloglion Foundation of Arts A.U.Th., B&E Goulandris Foundation, MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography and Municipal Gallery of Larissa \u2013 G. I. Katsigras Museum), will become the “meeting point” for inclusion and co-creation within the framework of Off Stream\u2019s Meeting Points project.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, October 22nd<\/sup>, 2023 from 12.00 until 13.00 EM\u03a3\u03a4\u00a0and Off Stream invite the audience to meet and co-create the creative audio description of a selected artwork from each\u00a0 museum’s collection. The 75-minute long public event is addressed equally to adults with and without disabilities, providing simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign language and tactile aids of the artwork.<\/p>\n The content that will occur from the Meeting Points public events, curated by Off Stream and with the contribution of the artist Hichem Merouche, will form the basis for a fully inclusive collection of postcards that will be available at the gift shops of the collaborating museums. In this way, we ensure the condition of equal access to a visual arts\u2019 “panorama” including\u00a0 representative artworks from ten Greek museums.<\/p>\n Meeting Points is a project by Off Stream implemented in collaboration with 10 Greek museums under the auspices and with the financial support of the Greek Ministry of Culture.<\/p>\n The events at the B&E Goulandris Foundation and the Contemporary Art Museum \u2018Constantin Xenakis\u2019 are implemented with a donation from the Ioannis S. Latsis Foundation within the framework of the \u201cPoints of Support\u201d program co-financed by 10 charitable organizations.<\/p>\n
