



{"id":86397,"date":"2023-06-30T10:23:46","date_gmt":"2023-06-30T10:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emst.gr\/?p=86397"},"modified":"2023-10-30T14:46:27","modified_gmt":"2023-10-30T14:46:27","slug":"foodprint-the-mediterranean-diet-revisited","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emst.gr\/en\/education\/educational-programmes-en\/foodprint-the-mediterranean-diet-revisited","title":{"rendered":"FOODPRINT: THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET REVISITED"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The photography exhibition Foodprint will be hosted at \u0395\u039c\u03a3\u03a4, from the <strong>14th September to the 29th of October 2023<\/strong>, in collaboration with the museum\u2019s Education Department.<\/p>\n<p>The project explores why the <strong>Mediterranean Diet<\/strong> is relevant to our lives today and connects Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Cyprus and Croatia through the works of five photographers. Recognised by UNESCO as part of humanity\u2019s Intangible Heritage due to its unique set of qualities, the Mediterranean Diet consists mostly of plant based foods, such as vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes and fruits. Born out of poverty, it also provides solutions to some of the most critical problems facing the planet today, such as the loss of biodiversity, food waste and climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Photographs by Johann Clausen, Elena Heatherwick, Myrto Papadopoulou, Chris de Bode and Maria Contreras Coll capture different aspects of the Mediterranean Diet today, while parallel activities include photography workshops, documentary screenings and cooking events.
