The collaboration between \u0395\u039c\u03a3\u03a4 and Special Secretariat for the Protection of Unaccompanied Minors of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum continues with another artistic workshop focusing on inclusion, titled \u201cThe Alphabet of Acceptance\u201d.<\/p>\n
A group of teenage refugees who live in Kinoniko EKAV\u2019s Reception Centers for Unaccompanied Minors and of the Society for the Care of Minors, which are under the supervision of the National Education Agency, and a group of students from the 1st model senior high school of Athens – Gennadeio met at EM\u03a3T in order to participate together in an artistic workshop, based on EM\u03a3T’s temporary exhibition Statecraft.<\/p>\n
Following a selection of artworks from the exhibition, the teenagers discussed and exchanged views on topics such as: immigration, human rights, freedom of movement, acceptance and exclusions, violence, nationalisms, national and individual identity. Then, using artistic means of expression and ideas that the artworks inspired, they collaborated in pairs to create a group artwork: \u201cThe Alphabet of Acceptance\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n The collaboration between \u0395\u039c\u03a3\u03a4 and Special Secretariat for the Protection of Unaccompanied Minors of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum is realized in the framework of the \u0395\u039c\u03a3\u03a4 Without Borders programme.<\/p>\n The title of the workshop is a paraphrase of the title of Daniela Ortiz’s artwork The ABC of Racist Europe.
