Can coming into contact with artworks be captured as a pattern that in its repetition creates geometry? And, finally, how can we \u201cweave\u201d an exhibition?<\/p>\n<p>Visual artist Maria Varela, and one of the participants in the current EMST exhibition <em>Statecraft (and Beyond),<\/em> will lead a two-day creative workshop at EMST and invites participants to familiarize themselves with the method in which visual and emotional stimuli are transformed into patterns that are then woven and presented in the form of textiles.<\/p>\n<p>In the first part of the workshop, Maria Varela will present the methodology of recording information in binary maps which participants will then creatively use during their tour at the exhibition <em>Statecraft<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In the second part, the resulting patterns will be analyzed and will be woven on small improvised looms by each individual participant.
