THE BOOK<\/p>\n

Dora Theodoropoulou\u2019s book \u03a6\u0399\u039eFIX 120+ YEARS ARCHITECTURE, Takis C. Zenetos- Margaritis C. Apostolidis, Intersection Point at the history of the Building, <\/em>published by EPIKENTRO is based on the writher\u2019s doctoral thesis at the School of Architects of the National Technical University.<\/p>\n

It examines the history of the FIX central building, which is located on Syggrou Avenue, which is the present National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST). It also deals with the way in which the building reflects, through its consecutive changes, the history of the company throughout the years. The Net of the factories, the Machines, the Advertisement, the intervention of modernization by Takis Zenetos and Margaritis Apostolidis etc. are analyzed. The power of both the Architecture and the FIX Company during the passage of the time emerge through the text. The history of the FIX beer is huge and the Architecture had always been a very significant tool of advertising the company. A book that investigates the whole history of FIX in a scientific way with both historical and theoretical background will be located in most of the central libraries of Greece, in Museums and of course in the most central bookstores of Athens and Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n

The book \u03a6\u0399\u039eFIX 120+ YEARS ARCHITECTURE published by EPIKENTRO will be presented on 30th<\/sup> MAY 2018, at 15:30, at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST).<\/p>\n

The speakers about the book will be:<\/p>\n

Panayiotis Tournikiotis (Professor of the School of Architecture NTU), Dimitris Filippidis (Emeritus professor of the School of Architects NTU), Kostas Moraitis (Professor of the School of Architects NTU), Giorgos Tzirtzilakis ( Professor at the Department of Architects \u2013 University of Thessaly), Dora Theodoropoulou (Dr. Architect)<\/p>\n

The presentation will be opened by the greeting of the Director of EMST, Mrs. Katerina Koskina.<\/p>\n

THE GAME<\/p>\n

FIX GAME \u2013 DORA THEODOROPOULOU \/ ELINA THEODOROPOULOU<\/p>\n

FIX GAME is a game that was born during the doctoral thesis \u201c\u03a6\u0399\u03a7FIX 120+ YEARS ARCHITECTURE 1893-2016+, A PROCEDURE OF A CONSECUTIVE TRANSFORMATION. THE ARCHITECT TAKIS C. ZENETOS, INTERSECTION POINT OF THE HISTORY OF THE BUILDING<\/em>\u201d. It is a game for those who are architects and for those who are not, for young and older people.<\/p>\n

It is about a Game \u2013 Puzzle of History through the different transformations of the FIX building, which changes continuously throughout the years, just like a living being. The game-format consists of white squares 7×7 centimeters, which are the one next to the other forming a 3D construction that \u201cdescribes\u201d FIX through the perspective of its four dimensions and narrates the history of the building in a different way. It will be assembled, it will be un-assembled and it will be re-assembled, while at the same time it will be able to spread itself like a puzzle.<\/p>\n

The aim is to create an architectural point that will connect the history with the space and will be understandable by people of all ages. Parallel to this, the information that you are part of the history and not a simple observer is assimilated.<\/p>\n

The FIX GAME was developed with the collaboration of the visual artist Elina Theodoropoulou concerning the organization of ART GAMES that was organized by Goethe Institut in February, 2018. It is a game of space with philosophical extensions and visual and architectural tools, which is based on pairs of contradictions. An experiential game \u00a0that someone could learn by becoming part of the game. The \u201cchessboard\u201d, the colorful squares of the contradictions will be located on the Foyer of the Museum of Contemporary Art from 25th<\/sup> to 30th<\/sup> of May and the public will have the opportunity to become part of the game between the hours of 12:00 \u2013 14:00.<\/p>\n

17 MAY \u2013 30 MAY \/ Athens Conservatoire<\/p>\n

A game starts on 17th<\/sup> May at the Athens Conservatoire \u2013 FIX GAME. A game that will be presented, among others, in the framework of the parallel program of Games & Politics that Goethe Institute organizes. (Thursday 17, Friday 18, Saturday 19, guided visit hours for the public 16:00-18:00)<\/p>\n

23- 30 MAY \/ Goethe Institut<\/p>\n

Designs and works of art selected by Dora Theodoropoulou\u2019s investigation (architect) about the FIX building interacted with Elina Theodoropoulou\u2019s works of art (visual artist) integrated in the interactive game FIX GAME (Wednesday 23, Thursday 24, Friday 25, Tuesday 29,guided visit hours for the public 16:00 \u2013 18:00)<\/p>\n

25-30 MAY \/ National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST)<\/p>\n

FIX GAME\/ Elina Theodoropoulou, Dora Theodoropoulou comes on 25th<\/sup> May on its \u201cnatural\u201d place, at the National Museum of Modern Art, which used to be the factory FIX. FIX GAME is a game of space with visual-architectural and historical extensions. (Guided visit hours for the public 12:00-14:00)<\/p>\n
